I bought a Casablanca, expensive. The company charges alot and you *should* get alot. Not true, this is the equivalent of an import car. Parts are proprietary, and good luck finding anyone in town who carries a part. Customer service? Yeah, they speak english, but they got my money and I got a fan. The guy told me to spend another 200 bucks to upgrade the fan to get it to do what a 200 dollar Hunter does out of the box. Save your money, buy something at Home Depot. You don't need the Casablanca fans...

Awesome fan! Fits in our 100 year old house like an original - in fact most who see it ask how old the fan is!!Quiet - easy install - we're impressed! Only additional purchase was a longer down rod.

Own it in white. If they haven't improved it in some way in this color, one blade barely works and has to be on the 3rd speed (max) to feel anything. It does look amazing though.

This fan is beautiful...was featured in a modern home trade show on the Today show a few years ago. It's whisper quite and has an industrial grade motor.The fan weighs 40 lbs. so it's a two person job to install unless you have low ceilings.The only con is the glass cover is difficults to remove for bulb replacement.

The liquid nickel version of this ceiling fan is truly gorgeous and a first class product that must be seen in person to be appreciated. We were hesitant to spend so much on this fan but it is now the focal point of our Great Room. Extremely well-packaged and even included white cotton gloves for blade installation so that dirty hands, skin oil or fingerprints won't mar the beautiful blades! Top quality wall control that is supplied is also a big plus. We are very satisfied and consider this a lifetime purchase.

Generally, I love Casablanca fans. They are solidly made, dependable, and efficient. The fan looks very stylish which is why we selected this one. This fan however is quite a disappointment. The light is severly underpowered. There is not sufficient light. Also, there is an electrical hum coming from the fan. The fan is installed in our bedroom, and we are unable to sleep with the fan on because of the hum. We installed the fan according to the instructions. Tightened all appopriate pieces. We even had the local Casablanca repair shop come and look at the fan. Their suggestion - return it, and select a different model. So, that is exactly what we are going to be doing.

Purchased this fan for our family room and it is very nice looking and works great. This fan would have gotten 5 stars but I had to have the first one replaced by the manufacturer (with Amazons help). Overall we are very pleased with this purchase.

We bought this ceiling fan because we liked the design so much. Indeed it does look really cool in our bedroom. We were mildly annoyed that the downrod (ordered separately, from another company) took over a week to reach us, whereas we had the fan itself in two days. The worst problem we have is that the motor housing appears to be slightly off-center, so that when the fan runs, there is a visible wobble at the bottom of the can. In spite of this, the fan seems to run smoothly, with no wobble in the blades or the downrod, so we haven't decided to return the unit. Another annoyance is that, even on the high speed, the fan doesn't seem to move much air. This is consistent with the specifications, which do say that the volume of air is less that many other models.

INTRODUCTION:We got this Monte Carlo Airlift fan to replace a builder installed fan that we hated. The old fan was installed in our formal living room and never looked like it belonged there. The style was all wrong--- with huge 54" blades that made the room look smaller --- and the fan lights were exposed and hurt our eyes --- so we rarely turned the lights on.PROS:When we replaced the old fan with the Monte Carlo Airlift, it was very exciting. Suddenly we had a beautiful hanging lamp that fit the style of the formal living room perfectly. You should see the delight and surprise of our guests when they see the beautiful lamp magically transform into a completely silent ceiling fan whenever a ceiling fan is needed. You can reverse the direction of the blades "on the fly" using the included remote control - and when you do - you are entertained with the translucent blades closing and then reopening like a blossoming flower. Very high quality motor and bearings. Completely silent. Overall construction is high quality. The dome lights are four ordinary easy-to-find 15w candelabra or appliance bulbs. All batteries and bulbs are included with initial package.CONS:More difficult to install than an ordinary ceiling fan and the instructions are not completely clear. If you are replacing an existing ceiling fan, your existing fan wall switches may have to be removed - since this fan uses only a remote transmitter powered by an included 23 amp 12v battery you won't be able…

Shipped fine by United Parcel Service... Ups,has always been reliable. The fan looks great and functions well. The only reason for a 4 vs 5 is a slight noise... I had it installed,so could be an install problem. I did notice what looked like a little rubber mount left out.

This is a beautiful addition to my dining room. With the upper and lower lights on, it does not give off a garish bright light...but a soft glow for pleasant dining. With just the top light lit, it makes an atmosphere for intimate conversations over a glass or two of wine. This is more than a ceiling fan...it is an elegant centerpiece.The motor makes no sound whatsoever. The remote control is the only means of operating the light, so if your husband is like mine and always loses remotes, may I suggest that you use the kit to install it on your wall rather than the mobile remote kit. I am sure you will be just as thrilled as I am with this fan light. It is worth every penny.

Had to replace parts as fan never worked our of the box. As Amazon is not an authorized dealer, Fanimation will not supply parts. So 3 hours of electricians bills, waiting for parts, shipping costs, and still no working fan.Now another specialty part can't be sourced--so our only option seems to be to have the whole assembly taken down and returned.(Even more expense to un-install and then reinstall a new fan)

The Fan is wonderful, the picture shows a light fixture attached and the box indicates it is part of the purchase and is shipped separately, but there is no light fixture. I was disappointed I did not get the light fixture, since there were two fans and I pick this specifically for the light fixture. Amazon did help me find the fixture and deducted the difference from the price - So I ended up Happy

I love this fan!! It moves a lot of air on high setting which is exactly what we wanted above our bed. Easy to install but really heavy. Everyone that sees it just loves it.

What a great product! It was even nicer than described. Especially love the adjustable uplight - great ambiance on our vaulted ceiling and a beautiful addition to our family room.
